Department of Vehicle and Drivers' Licensing ensures seamless service during Licensing Machine Maintenance
George Town, Grand Cayman – 4th December 2023. The Department of Vehicle and Drivers' Licensing (DVDL) wishes to inform the public about service to its licensing machine. Due to technical issues, the machine is currently inoperable and unable to create new license plates.
DVDL is actively working with its overseas suppliers to expedite the replacement part required to restore the hot plate machine to full functionality. During this period, we want to reassure our valued customers that there will be no service interruptions with regard to any vehicle licensing.
In accordance with Section 8(4) of the Traffic Act (2023) Revision, the Director of DVDL will issue Temporary Plates to ensure that vehicle licensing processes continue seamlessly. These Temporary Plates will be valid for six months from the date of issue, allowing our customers to maintain their compliance with the law.
DVDL is committed to resolving this matter as quickly as possible and will notify the public as soon as the hot plate machine is fully operational again. We apologize for any inconveniences caused and appreciate your understanding.
In the meantime, we encourage our customers to explore convenient online options available on DVDL's website at www.dvdl.gov.ky. Vehicle and driver's license renewals can be easily processed online, ensuring minimal disruption to your daily routine.
For additional information and updates on this matter, please visit www.dvdl.gov.ky or contact the Department of Vehicle and Drivers' Licensing at (345) 945-8344 or via email at email@example.com.
