2. The Licence You Want

A learner's licence is valid for 6 months. You must state the type of vehicle(s) you wish to learn to drive. Note that only 1 renewal is allowed for a learner's licence.

If your driver licence is still valid, it must be produced to a Licensing Officer at the time of renewal. Once a driver licence has expired it will accumulate back fees. You may also choose to have your driver licence expire on your birthday.

Applicable if your licence has been Lost / Stolen / Destroyed / Defective / Department Error / Name Change (must present a Marriage Certificate or Deed Poll) / Address Change (Police Report required if licence is still valid).

Local Driver's Licence & 2 Passport sized photos (white background) required.

A Valid Foreign Driver's Licence and Passport is required. You may also be asked to produce a Certificate/Letter of Entitlement/Authenticity from the country that issued your driver licence to confirm your driver licence details.

I declare that the information provided on this form is true and correct. A false declaration is punishable by a fine of two thousand dollars and to imprisonment for twelve months.
